padi Emergency Oxygen Provider

Specialty Course

Be prepared to offer aid to divers that might need emergency oxygen.

The Emergency Oxygen Provider course will help you recognise illnesses treatable with oxygen. Even if you hope to never use these skills, should the event arise you will be able to help others.

There are no prerequisites, age restrictions or water sessions required. As a result, anyone can enrol in the Emergency Oxygen Provider course.

What will you learn:

  • Assembling and disassembling O2 equipment
  • Deploying a non-rebreather mask and a demand valve on a breathing diver
  • Using a pocket mask on a non-breathing diver

You will learn about dive injuries, equipment and safety considerations. We divide the course into two sections, firstly theoretical then a practical workshop.

How many dives will you do:

There are no water sessions required for this course, so you will learn in our modern classroom.

What equipment will you use:

In addition to the manual or online access, you will learn by using O2 and safety equipment on a mannequin. In other words, the scenarios are as realistic as possible. By all means, you may want to read the manual before class to prepare for the skill practice.

What’s included:

  • Classroom workshop
  • Certification
