PADI Rescue Diver

Learn how to be a PADI Rescue Diver in Tenerife by completing 10 rescue exercises and 2 rescue scenarios. During the course you will be reminded of key self rescue skills you learnt during your Open Water training. Then, you will go through the core rescue exercises with one of our experienced instructors. This will result in enabling you to confidently deal with any emergency situations, if and when they may occur. Once you have built the necessary skills, you will be put through your paces during the rescue scenarios so you can be safe in the knowledge that wherever you are you can rescue yourself, or another diver when called upon.

If you are at least 12 years old and have a valid first aid qualification then you can enrol in the PADI Rescue Diver course. Don’t have one? Then no problem, we offer the Emergency First Response course to bring you up to speed… and it only takes one day! 

What will you learn:

• Self rescue
• Recognising and managing stress in other divers
• Emergency management and equipment
• Rescuing unresponsive divers

How many dives will you do:

You will complete 1 confined water dive and 2 open water dives from our boat or shore.

What equipment will you use:

Apart from your basic scuba equipment you will also use a pocket mask, oxygen kit, floats, marker buoys and CPR mannequins.
