EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

FIRST AID COURSE

Through this course you will gain the confidence to provide emergency care.

During the Emergency First Response training you will be taught simple steps to respond to medical emergencies. You will learn the required skills in a non-stressful environment. The course is supported by self-study materials as well as videos to enhance learning.

Our EFR courses meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and professional level ratings. Additionally, as the course is based upon world recognised medical guidelines, it’s also a great skill for non-divers to learn too!  Anyone with a personal desire to help others can enrol in one of our Emergency First Response courses.

Primary Care (CPR only) with AED – €95

This course teaches you the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies. You’ll practice eight skills for aiding patients who aren’t breathing, have no heartbeat, may have a spinal injury, may be in shock or who may have serious bleeding. You’ll learn how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and continue to monitor the patient, so that you provide every possible chance of survival while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive. This course will also teach you how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator)

Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (1st Aid) with AED – €135

As well as teaching you Primary Care and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies,  many medical conditions are not life-threatening and emergency medical services are sometimes delayed or unavailable, Secondary Care training teaches you how to provide first aid that eases pain and reduces the risk of further harm. You’ll learn to assess a variety of injuries and illnesses and practice bandaging and splinting. This course will also teach you how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator)
