padi Sea turtle awareness

This course will allow you to dive with turtles in Tenerife and is a great introduction to turtle identification and conservation techniques. This will enable you to witness turtles’ behaviour in their natural habitat.

If you are at least 10 years old and a PADI Scuba Diver or higher you can enrol in the Sea Turtle Specialty course. 

What will you learn:

• Preserving the aquatic environment
• About different sea turtle species
• Identify and record sightings of sea turtles
• About Project AWARE activities that can help protect sea turtles

This course is best to complete over a two day period. The first day will focus on the theory and the second day will be to complete the required dives. Diving from our boat will give you the best exposure to the turtles and the ability to visit them in their natural habitat, under the supervision of your Instructor.

How many dives will you do:

You will complete two scuba dives from our boat.

What equipment will you use:

Apart from using basic scuba equipment, you will use a data slate to record findings and a camera if required. After the dives you will also use our fish ID books to identify any turtles that you may not of recognised during the dives.
