PADI Boat diver

Some of the best scuba diving is accessible only by boat. Even if you have already been boat diving, the Boat Diver Specialty course will give you the skills to be more confident next time you dive from a boat.

If you are 10 years old and a PADI Open Water Diver or higher you can enrol in the Boat Diver Specialty.

What will you learn:

• Terminology used on boats
• Boat diving procedures including how to enter and exit, and where you stow your gear
• Boating safety, including how to locate safety equipment

After this course you will confidently be able to dive from boats knowing the basics of equipment procedures as well as safety aspects from small boats to large liveaboards.

How many dives will you do:

You will complete two scuba dives from our boat.

What equipment will you use:

Apart from using basic scuba equipment, you will use a surface signalling device, spare parts kit and safety equipment during demonstration and practice. You will be trained whilst diving from our very own 7.5m RIB with a 250HP Honda engine.
