The history of the wreck combined with the marine life it attracts is enough to lure most divers in. Regardless of the reason a wreck has sunk, they offer fascinating dives for you to explore. The Wreck Diver Specialty course is very popular due to the vast amount of wrecks available ready for you to explore. This course will teach you how to use responsible wreck diving techniques.

If you are at least 15 years old and a PADI Adventure Diver or higher you can enrol in the Wreck Diver Specialty course. 

What will you learn:

  • Safety considerations for navigating and exploring wrecks
  • Surveying and mapping a wreck
  • Using penetration lines and reels to guide exploration
  • Techniques to avoid kicking up the silt or disturbing the wreck and its inhabitants

There are many different types of wrecks, some of which are protected by laws. Your training starts with some knowledge development which covers the common laws found on wrecks. Each wreck offers a chance for discovery and potentially unlocking a mystery others may have missed. The Wreck Diver Specialty course is one of the most popular courses in Tenerife.

How many dives will you do:

You will complete four scuba dives from our boat or shore.

What equipment will you use:

Apart from using basic scuba equipment, you will use a data slate for mapping, dive light, underwater compass and wreck line and reel for the penetration portion of the course.
